She was a force. I only met her a couple of times but every time II was in her company, I could not deny she had the energy of the sun. She was passionate about preserving second-line Culture in New Orleans and was an advocate for all things New Orleans. She spoke with me about the violence that she ultimately scummed to in 2017, from a shooting at a parade.
I wish she was still around to document and advocate for the rich culture in New Orleans. I’d surely like to have more opportunities to speak with her and collaborate in some way.
