We did a full production of Truth performing several cover songs, in an Airbnb in Southwest, DC. The first song she chose to sing happens to be one of my favorites; Weird Fishes by Radiohead. I listen to Radiohead a bit obsessively so she’s gonna hear these songs for sure. I’m also glad she likes them. From the studio, in the car, or anywhere else with my headphones wandering the city.
Truth has adopted this appreciation for Radiohead and learned to play the song a while back. While her acoustic rendition is solid I found that there was an errant string buzzing in the guitar that was more prominent in the recording. We all came to the studio quickly before leaving for Pittsburgh today to rerecord the song. It was still great the second time around (no clipping this time).
