The kids were always welcomed to hang out at the old studio on Illinois Avenue. This day, Excel came into my office after reading to give me a review of a chapter he read in one of his Narnia books. He was walking and talking (he could not sit still as a child) so I just rotated with him and turned on my little camera while doing it. His little sound effects are hilarious.
This is a sample of what our family life is like. Excel was 8 years old at the time. When I bump into this clip, it warms my heart. We are so engaged with one another. I don’t pull out my camera as much as I used to… but after posting this, I think I’ll start doing it more often again. I’ve got hundreds of these things on various hard drives. I hope the family appreciates them when they get older.
