When her personality started to evince itself (around 10-months), I started to think that Truth was a better version of me. We have a lot of similarities, save my almost overwhelming set of issues and utter goofiness. She is finding her voice in math, science, art, music and humor. We both revel in and at the absurdity that abounds the realm of life.
She won the 2020 Harlem Renaissance Youth Art Contest for her piece, “Rising Ideas”. It’s a colored-pencil piece on black paper. With that honor, was also a cash prize of $300. I’m thinking about taking a 10% “parental influence” fee.
