My friend and frequent collaborator, Omekongo Dibinga needed artwork for a book of poetry he was working on. I was honored to be asked to do a series of pieces to accompany his poems.
I had already developed a style for with pen & ink so it wasn’t that I was learning anything new. I do realize it took me a lot longer than I bargained for. I think I ended up making minimum wage for these drawings, if that.
