I had the pleasure of filming these exceptional Spoken Word artists right around the corner from the office, next to the Navy Memorial. We brought a couple lights and a two camera set-up to set the foundation of the video. Later, I’d film accompanying b-roll to bring it all together. I also had a plethora of b-roll shots from around the city from previous shoots.

Pages Matam is a Cameroonian artist residing in the D.C. metropolitan area. He is a Write Bloody author, Callaloo fellow, 2014 National poetry slam champion and winner of Beltway Poetry Quarterly’s Best New Book of 2014.
