Paige Hernandez-Funn is one of the most talented people I have ever met. She is a renaissance woman of the highest degree. While she was at the studio doing a recordings for The Angle, I thought it might be nice to deliver a poem and find some other media to mix it with later.
My creative collaborator, Mychael Pollard also came through the studio on Illinois Avenue to deliver some musical delights that I could use to mix in cute Angle productions.
I would scroll through the hundreds of recorded visits and try and find commonalities or ways to mix and combine different things and this came together rather easily. I added some U Street material, to connect with an episode on Busboys & Poets (just off U Street) and it all made sense.
