They had just finished the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial down near the Tidal Basin and I had planned to go earlier, but just got caught up. I had a few free hours between projects so I grabbed my little camera and captured an hour’s worth of b-roll. The place was spectatcular.
When I got the footage back, I remembered a few weeks back, bassist Kris Funn performed “Lift Every Voice” for my web series, The Angle. In a matter of a hour, I knocked out simple mashup of his stellar performance and the MLK memorial b-roll.
