It’s always a pleasure to work with one of my favorite collaborators on earth, Christylez Bacon. When I was heavily working on my webseries/docuseries, The Angle, I had to do several impromptu pieces featuring his talents.
He and Nistha had been working on a number of collaborative shows and after seeing them perform, I had an idea. I wanted to profile the Blagden Alley area in NW DC in a unique way. Bhairavi Beatbox in Blagden was all the B’s I needed to make a special piece. We filmed the performance and I gathered some b-roll elements over several days, taking trips in between projects and picking up the kids from school.
